Now, in October 1999 something had happened. Times had changed and I didn't feel well anymore being with my old clan, as there were two facts behind it:
a) our community was broken by the day our favourite server 'quake.de' was taken off the net some months ago (we had lost our virtual home, where all of the meanwhile 32 members had been recruited from) and the mood was unbearable for me, as there was so many annoying gossip and misbehaviour going on, besides some members thought about being masters now

and b) occasionally I tripped over a server in England, home of XL-CLAN, where I found all I needed: a server, where funny people meet, a clan that thought FUN was the main thing, and loosing in a stylish way was more fun than winning at all costs. I repeatedly vistited the newly discovered server and happened to meet the admin who also was founder of XL-CLAN.
